In Lake Placid, the Fourth of July is celebrated all day long and into the evening!

4th of July parade  

Ending the afternoon every year is Lake Placid's Fourth of July gala parade, starting at 5 p.m. With lots of local groups, businesses and individuals, the parade has grown into a great crowd pleaser!

Lake Placid Horse Show

Stop by the Lake Placid Horse Show and see world class riders and horses participate in championship hunter and jumper competition. Watch as they win over $560,000 in prize money and awards!

Fireworks over Mirror Lake

Topping off the day is Lake Placid's legendary Fourth of July fireworks extravaganza, Set the Night to Music. The fireworks show, which begins at 9:30 p.m., is choreographed to music broadcast on local radio station 93.3 FM WSLP.
