here for the 2002 Participants List Lake Placid, home to the 1932 and 1980 Olympic Winter Games and the 1999, 2000, 2001 Ironman USA Lake Placid Triathlons, will host over 1,000 athletes from around the United States in the beautiful Adirondack mountain region of upstate New York. "Lake Placid offers a beautiful resort environment,
breathtaking natural beauty, Race fee is $75.00 (confirmation postcard to be mailed on 06/01/02) All racers need to be USA Triathlon Members (Annual Membership = $25) There are no qualifications for this race. The top 7 athletes will qualify for the 2002 ITU World Championship in Cancun, Mexico. The 32 male/female divisions are as follows: · 5 year age groups [(20+) - (80+)] · Clydesdale (men 200 lbs.) / Athena (women 150 lbs.) · Physically Challenged Olympic
Distances: The course will include segments of Ironman USA, one of the most challenging and hilly courses in the country. |
