Along the way, there are many different river locations, from intimate glimpses to broad vistas with a mountain background, that are perfect for photos.

There are services in Keene and Upper Jay.

It is a 14 mile loop.

Directions

Starting from Keene, go west and north on Church Road at the intersection of Route 73, just past the bridge. Church Road turns into St Huberts Road and then County Highway 40. Bear left onto Alstead Hill Road and right again onto Bartlett Road. Take the right onto County Highway 12 and go east to Upper Jay. By turning left (South) onto ROute 9N, the river views and wide shoulders offer great scenery all the way back to Keene.
