KEENE VALLEY, N.Y. — The Mountaineerin Keene Valley will be hosting the 8th Great Adirondack Trail Run on
Saturday, June 16th. Event proceeds will support the Ausable River
Association (AsRA) and the Boquet River Association (BRASS).  Registration for the 3.5 mile Baxter run remains open until 9:30am on the 16th: the cost is $20 for adults and $10 for kids 16 and under. A bus will bring runners to the start of the course, leaving from the Mountaineer at 9:45. Parking is in the large field across from the Mountaineer (next to the hardware store).

In addition to the trail running events, the Mountaineer takes this opportunity to celebrate the final days of spring with food, live music and family fun at the Keene Valley Country Club. The river associations will offer a children's "Hunt for River Critters" in the Ausable behind the Mountaineer at 11am—this is a great opportunity for kids to have fun in the river while learning about the macro invertebrates (big bugs) living in our river ecosystem. Music and food at the Country Club begins at 11:30 and winds down after the presentation of awards for the runners at 2pm.

The Great Adirondack Trail Run is made possible by major sponsors Patagonia and Salomon as well as many other outdoor and local companies. Visit www.mountaineer.com or call the Mountaineer at (518) 576-2281 for more information.
