Heaven Hill Trails

Route Overview

The Heaven Hill trails are a new trail system developed in Lake Placid and are part of the Uihlein Foundation's property. The foundation also developed the Henry’s Woods trails, also on Bear Cub Road. The two trail systems do not interconnect, but both are great places to visit.

Heaven Hill is made up of about a half dozen different trails, which can be combined to form a number of loops of varying length. The trails are easy to moderate and make for a great after-dinner stroll or a place to walk the dog.

To get to the parking area on Bear Cub Road, go to the intersection of state Route 73 and 86 in Lake Placid and take Route 73 toward Keene. Turn right on Station Street in 0.2 miles — it's the first right after you cross the Chubb River. Follow this road for 0.75 miles and turn left on Old Military Road. Follow it for 0.9 miles, then turn right on Bear Cub Road. The trailhead is on the right after about 3 miles.
