In Lake Placid, the Fourth of July is celebrated all day long and into the evening!

Morning, Fourth of July Mini-Triathlon

In place of the usual Monday night mini-tri, there's a special Monday morning mini-tri for the Fourth of July. Individuals and teams are welcome for a fun and competitive morning that includes a 400-yard swim, 12-mile bike ride, and 3-mile run.​

I Love BBQ & Music Festival and 4th of July Parade

For all day entertainment, check out the I Love BBQ and Music Festival at the Olympic Speedskating Oval. Sample BBQ, watch competitions, and listen to great music all day long and into the night.

Ending the afternoon every year is Lake Placid's Fourth of July Gala Parade. With marching bands and lots of local civic groups, businesses and individuals, the parade has grown into a great crowd pleaser!

Live Entertainment in Mid’s Park 

Le Groove, a family-friendly local band, will perform from 7 - 9 p.m. in the Mid's Park bandshell. Grab your seat early and stick around after the show for the July 4th fireworks.

Fireworks over Mirror Lake

Topping off the day is Lake Placid's legendary Fourth of July fireworks extravaganza, Set the Night to Music. The fireworks show, which begins at 9:30 p.m., is choreographed to music broadcast on local radio station 93.3 FM WSLP.
