35th annual Lake Placid Loppet and Kort Loppet

Nordic skiers from throughout the northeastern United States and Canada will compete in the 50K Loppet and 25K Kort Loppet.

The Lake Placid Loppet is one of the classic events of its kind in the US. This citizens XC ski race has a tradition dating back to the early 80's and thousands can lay claim to finishing the race during the course of those 3 decades. Taking place on the Olympic trails of Mt. Van Hoevenberg Recreation Area, the Loppet consists of two distance races - one 50K and one 25K (or Kort). Even the recreational touring skiers are welcome to participate at a less strenuous pace.
