US Olympic Training Center

The U.S. Lake Placid Olympic Training Center opened its doors in November of 1982, just two years after hosting the town's second Olympic Winter Games. The Olympic Training Center's goal is to assist in the development of Olympic and Paralympic athletes in a wide variety of sports.

Free behind the scenes tours are available weekdays at 3PM. Call ahead to confirm tours are running. The main lobby of the facility is open during normal business hours and displays a variety of Olympic memorabilia.

The LPOTC is home to four resident sports: Bobsled/Skeleton, Luge, Freestyle Ski, and Biathlon. Athletes from boxing, canoe and kayak, judo, rowing, synchronized swimming, taekwondo, team handball, water polo and wrestling also train frequently on site.

The Olympic Training Center not only provides top notch training facilities, but also offers a great location for conferences, meetings, and events. Come take a private tour with world class athletes in training or schedule a demonstration of some of our unique sports. Have your next staff retreat in our majestic Adirondack room or arrange a lunch meeting with cuisine prepared by our very own chefs. Packages are customized to fit your needs.
