This lovely trail is worth exploring on its own, though many 46er's make it part of a loop that includes Gothics and Upper Wolf Jaw. Lots of short climbs interspersed with flat sections make it a great beginner hike.
Lower Wolf Jaw Trailhead: Many advise using the Garden Trailhead in Keene Valley because this well-traveled route will be easiest in winter.
