Add music to your summer events by including a concert by the Lake Placid Sinfonietta, the Orchestra of the Adirondacks, with performances in and around Lake Placid from July 4 to August 12. The orchestra is comprised of twenty top classical musicians from around the country under the baton of Music Director Ron Spigelman. Some of the exciting summer 2012 guests appearing are NY Philharmonic musicians Anna Rabinova and Robert Langevin on July 15th, Soprano Laura Enslin on July 21, and Piano soloist Navah Perlman on July 29th. Whether you choose a performance on the shore of Mirror Lake on Wednesday evenings, at the Lake Placid Center for the Arts, or a show in one of the neighboring communities, this orchestra is truly one of the gems of the summer.

In addition to Lake Placid concerts, the orchestra will also be performing at the Tannery Pond Community Center in North Creek on July 7, at the Wild Center in Tupper Lake on July 26, at the Harrietstown Town Hall in Saranac Lake on August 2, at St. Mary's church in Ticonderoga on August 3, and at the Amos and Julia Ward Theatre in Jay on August 10.

The 2012 Symphony Series held at the LPCA is the core of the season's programming. This summer's concert series is themed "Inspiring" Curtain time is 7:30 and all reserved seating tickets are sold through the LPCA box office 518-523-2512.
