Popular hike with a trailhead right in the Village, good for kids too. Great views at summit of ski jumps and toward the village.
Cobble Hill Trailhead: On Mt. Whitney Rd. 100 feet from Mirror Lake Drive on right side. This road is a private road after the trailhead. Follow signs for Cobble Hill after hiker register on Mt. Whitney Rd for .4 miles. At an old road go right following signs for "steeper shorter" approach .4 miles to summit (great views from rock face scramble of village and surrounding mountains). Or go left following signs for "longer easier" approach 1.1 miles to summit.
3.0 miles RT, easy trail; 1.8 miles RT, harder trail; or 2.4 miles RT loop (up hard trail down easy trail). Elevation 2,343 ft.
