We received our first large snowstorm this past week just in time to create a beautiful, glittering white Adirondack winter scene to welcome the Thanksgiving holiday. Many people in our beautiful park look around at the corridors of sculpted white trees and think of one thing: skiing.

Trio of Painters at Singular Inn

The Essex Inn in Essex, NY (arguably the most historic hamlet in the Adirondack Park) has operated almost continuously since 1812, when Essex was a thriving town on the shores of Lake Champlain. In the spring of 2010, the Inn underwent a thorough renovation, and today the Inn offers guests modern amenities in a charming 19th Century setting.
