Convincing my husband to go out to eat is a feat usually worthy of some kind of award on my part. He is perfectly content to be at home most of the time. One of the very few exceptions is Lisa G's. He's always willing to join me on a date when I suggest it (he even suggests it once in awhile!). Lisa G's is Lisa G's because no one can pronounce or spell the owner, Lisa's, Greek last name. We do know, however, it starts with 'G'!

Our favorite night to visit Lisa G's is for Monday wing night. Fifty cent wings at the bar can't be beat! The selections include wings tossed in your choice of four different sauces - Teriyaki, Greek, Buffalo and BBQ. Greek is my personal favorite - basically a buttery sauce with Greek herbs and seasonings - yummy. They are mild and full of great flavor. We usually order a big Caesar salad to share and have a couple of drinks along with the wonderful wings. Lisa has built some very nice wine and beer selections as well as a standard fully stocked bar. My husband doesn't drink and has found O'Doul's Amber to be the best N/A beer to his liking. LIsa G's always has it in stock.

Lisa G's also has way more to offer than just wing night. Lisa's menu is very diverse, has great imagination and is cleverly written. I've enjoyed many meals both winter and summer here, and have never been disappointed. The staff is ever attentive and friendly, Lisa is almost always on scene making sure everything is going smoothly and greeting the regulars with her effervescent personality and smiling face.

The very diverse and inspired menu appeals to just about everyone. From your basic cheeseburger to Falafel, you're sure to find something to please your very own taste buds. For lunch try some original Korean Tacos, a Prime Rib Sammie, Pulled Pork, hot and cold sandwiches, and a healthy array of salads and loads more. The dinner menu is equally scrumptious. Start with one of my favorite appetizers, a garlic white bean spread or sundried tomato and eggplant spread served on grilled bread. Yum. There's also calamari, soup, nachos and more. For dinner you can't fail - try a basic Chicken Parmesan or Lasagna, or a couple of vegetarian selections like Grilled Tofu or a pizza with veggie selections, Escabeche style Mahi Mahi or Sage Chicken Thighs Risotto. There are choices for everyone, including a kids menu.

Lisa G's has a full bar with lots of room for all and pub tables in the bar as well. There's also the dining room with some great pieces of art and a very original mural. In the warmer months a delightful, spacious patio overlooking the Chubb River waterfall is welcoming on a nice day.
